JumpStart! Preschool Program

What is JumpStart!?

JumpStart! preschool is Cajon Valley’s fee-based preschool program. Children who are three years old and toilet trained are eligible for enrollment. The program is licensed by the state of California, Community Care Licensing and preschool staff are employees of the Cajon Valley Union School District. JumpStart! follows the same calendar as the elementary and middle schools in the district, observing all school holidays and breaks.

Philosophy

Children have a natural desire to learn. The JumpStart! curriculum is organized around monthly, seasonal or holiday themes in which children’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth are promoted through play, exploration, discovery and guided learning. Music, movement, dramatic play, art and literature are provided as a vehicle for children to develop language, social skills, self-confidence, motor and other school readiness skills.

Where Are the JumpStart! Programs Located?
JumpStart! programs are located at Rancho San Diego and Blossom Valley Elementary Schools.

What Programs are Available?
Two, three, and five day morning enrichment programs are available at both sites from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
Blossom Valley offers extended hours to 1:45 p.m.
For working parents, a full day preschool “stay and play” option is available at Rancho San Diego Elementary from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Blossom Valley Elementary Only (8 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.)

Rancho San Diego Elementary Only (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

There is a one time registration fee of $40 per child or $50 per family.
