The Educational Technology Department provides leadership, information, coordination, and support for the use of technology by teachers and students in all schools. The department’s focus is on the promotion of equitable access to education for all students.
The Educational Technology Department:
- Identifies and prioritizes District and school educational technology needs
- Provides consultation to principals and teachers in acquiring technology, training staff, and allocating resources
- Updates and implements the District Technology Plan
- Coordinates District staff development in educational technology
- Facilitates communication with outside technology resources and the County Office of Education.
- Collaborates with the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department to provide an efficient and enhanced classroom environment for students and teachers
- Conducts annual assessments of staff technology skills using the EdTechProfile
- Conducts the annual California School Technology Survey
