Cajon Valley Union School District (CVUSD) encompasses the greater part of the City of El Cajon with approximately 10,300 Kindergarten through 8th grade students living within the City. The County territory reaches north to the Santee and Lakeside School Districts, east to Alpine School District, south to the Dehesa and Jamul-Dulzura School Districts and west to the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District with approximately 7,900 students living in the County.  CVUSD is within the boundaries of the Grossmont Union High School District serving grades 9-12.

CVUSD covers an area of 66.3 square miles and is made up of 20 elementary and 6 middle school boundary areas.

2006-2007 ATTENDANCE BOUNDARIES FOR THE NEW LOS COCHES CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL AND GREENFIELD MIDDLE SCHOOL (map)

Based on the recommendation from the Attendance Boundary Committee, on June 28, 2005, the Governing Board established the boundaries for the new Los Coches Creek Middle School and Greenfield Middle School for 2006-2007 as follows:

Greenfield Middle School - Students in grades 6-8, from Bostonia Elementary, W. D. Hall Elementary, and Magnolia Elementary School areas, will attend Greenfield Middle School.

Los Coches Creek Middle School - Students in grades 6-8, from Blossom Valley Elementary, Crest Elementary, and Rios Elementary School areas will attend Los Coches Creek Middle School.

The new Los Coches Creek Middle School is located at 9669 Dunbar Lane in the Blossom Valley area. Classes began on August 21, 2006. This new middle school will relieve overcrowding throughout the eastern areas of the District and provide a neighborhood middle school for this growing community.
