is nearly complete. The new building will be ready for occupancy
in August for the start of the 2011/2012 school year.

|
Technology (Phase 1)
|
Sprotte-Watson Architecture, along with Turpin & Ruttan
Engineering, has been hired to evaluate the existing
infrastructure at each school and to develop a schedule of
improvements needed to support the classroom technology
recommendations of the Instructional Technology Committee. The
final report will be completed in September 2011 and will
include the scope of work needed at each site, as well as the
related costs. There has been some high-priority work completed
ahead of schedule at Emerald (due to the school’s magnet program
for Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and at Cajon Valley
Middle School (in coordination with their new building program).
Technology upgrade work will be completed over the summer at
Madison Elementary due to the school’s “21st Century”
partnership with the University of San Diego.
